Most resourced workspace members

Who's closest to full over the next eight weeks, without going looking for it.

This widget sits on your dashboard and answers one question at a glance: who on the team is under the most pressure right now? In Customize dashboard it's called Resourcing, and you can move or hide it like any other widget.

It's the short version of Resourcing. Same data, same shading, same capacity rules — just six people and eight weeks instead of every member and a year.

Who makes the list

Six people, chosen in this order:

  • Anyone over capacity comes first, soonest problem at the top. A week that's over capacity next week outranks one that's over capacity in two months, because it's the one you can still do something about. Where two people first go over in the same week, whoever hits the higher peak across the whole eight weeks goes above.
  • Then the busiest people who aren't flagged, by how full their fullest week gets.

So the widget isn't only a problem list. On a team with nothing over capacity it still shows you the six people carrying the most, which is usually who you'd ask about before adding work. Anyone with nothing scheduled at all is left out entirely.

Reading it

Eight weeks across, a row for each of the six, each cell shaded by how much of that week is already committed — deeper blue as the week fills, then amber once it's past capacity.

A warning triangle on an amber cell means something more specific: the project work alone would have fitted, and it's booked leave on top that takes the week over. An amber cell without one is ordinary over-booking.

The current week is marked twice: a date pill in the header, and a tint behind its column. It opens on last week, the same as the full page, so the two line up when you move between them.

It shows those eight weeks at any width. The cells flex rather than the number of weeks changing, so a narrow dashboard column shows the same period as a wide one.

Getting to the detail

Selecting View resourcing opens Resourcing, where you can expand a person to see which projects are behind the number, filter by person, project, or rate card, and look further ahead than eight weeks.

Who can see it

The widget needs the project management module and the Enterprise plan, and appears for Owners, Admins and Editors. Viewers don't get it, and neither does a workspace with no projects yet. It's separate from Time by project, which Owners and Admins can add on any plan.

Note the difference from Resourcing itself, which opens on any plan. The full page is always reachable; this shortcut to it isn't.
