Requests is where you review all submitted leave requests of members within your workspace.
Tip
Note
What you can do here
- Approve leave — confirm the request. The employee is notified by email and in-app.
- Decline leave — reject the request. The employee is notified.
- Request document — ask the employee for additional context or supporting documentation before making a decision. You can add an optional note explaining your request.
- Review cancellation requests — if a member has asked to cancel leave that was already approved, you'll see Approve cancellation and Decline cancellation buttons in place of the usual Approve/Decline. Declining means the leave stays booked as-is.
Warning
Note
Clash detection
Before approving a request, Trellis flags any potential clashes with other team members' approved or pending leave on the same projects. Select See conflicts to open a timeline view of who else is off and when, so you can cross-check resource allocation, review project coverage, and consider whether key team members can be away at the same time.
If a request would take the member over their total leave allowance for the year, you'll see an Exceeds allocation badge on their row so you know before you approve.

* Never on your own request — Trellis refuses self-review whatever your role.
Access to Requests is restricted to Owners and Admins. Other roles can't view or action leave requests, and nobody — Owner included — can action their own.
