Notes is your personal space to capture and store anything you want to refer back to later — from meeting notes and ideas to decisions, reminders, or your own working thoughts. Notes are available to everyone with a Trellis account, private to you, and available from any workspace you're a member of.
You can create as many notes as you need, helping your project record stay organised and easy to revisit as work progresses.
Formatting your notes
To format your note, type / to open the formatting menu. From there, you can:
- Change the text hierarchy with headings and subheadings
- Add bullet points, numbered lists, or checklists to organise information clearly
- Insert quotes, dividers, or code blocks when you need to separate or highlight specific content
Tip
Notes are searchable by title only, not by the content inside them. To make notes easier to find later, give each one a clear, memorable title that reflects what the note is about.

Notes is available to everyone with a Trellis account, regardless of workspace role. Your notes are personal to you — they're only ever visible to you and follow you across every workspace you're a member of. There's no role-based gating here since there's nothing shared to restrict.
