Activities

A searchable, timestamped record of every meaningful action across your workspace.

Need a full picture of what's been happening across your workspace? The Activities log is a searchable, timestamped record of every meaningful action — from granular task edits and workflow changes to member updates and time-log amendments. Use it to audit changes, investigate tasks, and prove what happened when.

The log is especially useful for time-log auditing. If a client asks for a granular breakdown of time recorded against their project, the Activities log lets you trace when each entry was created, updated, or amended.

A quick tour of the Activities log.

Filtering the log

Use the Filters sidebar on the left to narrow down what you're looking at:

  • Time period — pick a custom date range or use a preset (last 24 hours, last 7 days, etc.)
  • Project management — toggle activity from Projects, Tasks, Sprints, Labels, Workflows, Quotes, and Rate cards
  • Other — toggle activity from Timesheets, Leaves, Workspace, Members, Integrations, and API Keys

Select Reset at the top of the sidebar to clear any active filters in one go.

Exporting the log

To download a copy of your activity log, select Export to CSV in the top right.

Reviewing log entries

Each entry shows who took the action, the action type, a short description, and where relevant a reference to the related task, project, sprint, or workflow. Underneath you'll see the user's location, IP address, and how long ago the action happened.

Select the three-dot icon on any entry to expand it and see the full metadata Trellis captured at the time. Useful for auditing changes or investigating an incident.

Access to Activities is restricted to Owners and Admins on the Enterprise plan. Every other role can't view the log or export it, but they can still see their own recent activity indirectly on the surfaces they interact with (their own timesheets, tasks they assigned, comments they made).
