Calendar configuration

Define your team's working schedule and leave year — the foundation of time logging and leave management.

Your workspace calendar is the foundation of time logging and leave management in Trellis. It defines when your team works, how their leave is measured, and when the leave year rolls over. These settings feed into every timesheet, resourcing allocation, and absence request across the workspace.

Setting up your calendar

Choose the working days your team is contracted to work, then set your start and end hours. These define what Trellis treats as a working day when calculating time logs, leave duration, and resource availability.

Leave calendar settings

Set when your leave year starts (a month + day, e.g. 1 January or 6 April) and your workspace timezone. Together they determine when leave balances reset and how leave times are interpreted for members across regions.

Danger zone

Remove all allocations permanently deletes every leave allocation for the current leave period across all workspace members. Their used, approved, and pending leave history is preserved, but their remaining balances are wiped and you'll need to reallocate everything from Allocation afterwards.

Only do this if you genuinely need to reset the calendar (e.g. changing your leave-year start after members have already been allocated). It can't be undone.

Who can do what

ActionOwnerAdminEditorMemberContributorViewer
View the Calendar configuration page
Edit working schedule (working days, hours, half-day spans)
Edit leave calendar settings (year start, timezone) (Enterprise)
Remove all allocations (Danger zone) (Enterprise)

Access to Calendar configuration is restricted to Owners and Admins. Everyone else in the workspace feels the effects — their timesheets, leave requests, resourcing views, and half-day options all follow the settings defined here — but they can't change them. The working schedule is available to Owners and Admins on every plan; the leave calendar settings and the Danger zone come with HR, so they only appear on Enterprise.
