General is where you set your workspace's identity: the logo, name, and company details that appear across Trellis and on anything you send out (quotes, invoices, receipts). Keeping this section up to date means your team and clients always see accurate business info.
What you can manage here
- Workspace logo, name, and company details — used across Trellis and on any quotes, invoices, or receipts you send out
- Contact and registration info — address, email, phone, website, registered name, and registration number, for use on legal or financial documents
Features
Trellis is made up of three feature areas that you can turn on and off for your whole workspace. If your team doesn't require HR or CRM you can hide those pages from your navigation so people focus only on what's relevant.
- Project management (on by default) — projects, board, sprints, tasks, roadmap, timeline, quotes, timesheets, resourcing, workflows, packages, and rate cards
- HR (Enterprise only) — my leaves, leave requests, absence overview, allocation, and absence types. Non-Enterprise plans see an Enterprise badge on the card and can't toggle it
- CRM (Enterprise only) — contacts and organisations. Non-Enterprise plans see an Enterprise badge on the card and can't toggle it
Each card has a See what's included link with the full list of pages that area controls. Turning an area off asks you to type disable to confirm. Pages and navigation disappear for everyone, but your data is kept and comes back when you re-enable.
Note
Danger zone
The Danger zone at the bottom of the page holds the three destructive workspace actions. What you see here depends on your role:
- Transfer ownership (Owners only) — hand the workspace over to another member. You'll be demoted to Admin, and Trellis will ask for a 2FA code before completing the transfer.
- Delete workspace (Owners only) — schedule the workspace for deletion. It immediately becomes inaccessible to everyone, and after a 30-day grace period it — along with every task, project, timesheet, and file in it — is permanently deleted. Type delete to confirm.
- Leave workspace (everyone except the Owner) — step out of the workspace cleanly without deleting your Trellis account. Removes you from every project and revokes your access. Type leave to confirm.

The General page is visible to everyone in the workspace, but what you can edit depends on your role. Owners have full control: name, logo, company details, feature toggles, and the destructive actions in the Danger zone. Admins can toggle feature areas, but see the workspace name, logo, and company details in read-only form — editing those is the Owner's alone. Editors, Members, Contributors, and Viewers see a read-only summary of the workspace and can leave from the Danger zone.
